NEW VACANCIES AT STEPHENS & GEORGE CHARITABLE TRUST


Position: 
Play and Youth Worker

Closing Date:
31st October 2018

Location:
Dowlas Community Centre, Merthyr Tydfil

Role:

  • To run and develop the after school clubs at the Dowlas Community Centre, Merthyr Tydfil from 3.30pm until 5.00pm daily and the half term programme that currently operates on a Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 10am until 3.30pm in school holidays for ages 6-9 years and 9-12 years.
  • To run the Senior youth club on a Friday night  6.30pm-8.00pm

Desired Skills: 

  • Youth work and Play work qualifications required. Experience in this field and ability to drive. Experience of linking in with partnership agencies and working with  volunteers.
  • D.B.S. check will be undertaken and good IT skills required Use of a car Essential

Position: Chess Tutor

  • Part Time Chess tutor required at the Stephens and George Charitable Trust to be part of the Successful Chess in Schools Initiative .

  • Knowledge of working in Schools Playing Chess and a relevant teaching qualification desirable .

Position:
Deputy Warehouse Manager

Closing Date:
30th September 2018

Location:
Factory production areas

Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 GCSE’s (grades C and above including maths and English)
Must have extremely good I.T. skills
Fork lift licence
Reach and counterbalance licence

Experience:
Minimum of 12 months working in a warehouse with up to date fork lift licence

Remuneration:
Depending on experience

Pressroom Auxiliary

Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 GCSEs (grades C and above)
Fork lift licence preferable

Hours of work:
12 hour shift patterns including weekends

Remuneration:
£9.30 per hour

Trainee Mailer Operator

Experience:
Full training will be provided.

Requirements:
Literacy and numerical skills essential.
To be mechanically able & minded.
Basic computer skills, ideally experience with EXCEL.
Ability to adapt and to learn quickly.
To be able to demonstrate leadership qualities

Role:
To be able to set and maintain a SITMA wrapping line with print heads in situ to produce poly-wrapped and addressed magazines.
To be able to work with a team of people to mail product to a time sensitive schedule.
To work towards and meet all relevant KPI’s within the role.
