Britain’s first installation of Apogee Portal is at S&G. The JDF project management website gives clients superb interaction with production and gives our customer service team all the answers at their fingertips.
2x AGFA Avalon N8- 70XT Fully Automatic Platesetters
With in-line plate punching, each holding five cassettes with 100 plate capacity in each cassette enabling us to produce 48p.p.h. We also have two fully automated Nela Plate bending lines, enabling us to bend and stack each plate by size or by job into four plate stackers.
Ink Drive Software
Enabling the creation and direct transfer of CIP 3 information from pre-press to press improving make ready time and printing accuracy.
Canon Colour Plotter
Large format colour inkjet printer for colour or mono output up to A1 in size.
Epson 9800 Contract Proofer
Eight colour high quality proofing system - single pages or imposed formes. Calibrated to the Pass4Press & ISO 12647 standard.
FTP (File Transfer Protocol)
ftp://ftp.stephensandgeorge.co.uk An 8mb connection to theinternet - equivalent of 32 ISDN lines. This enables seamless transfer of files from your desktop to our secure server. Client authentication is used to enable secure copying of clients’ data. This service is available for the transfer of PD F files only. Web proof service available on request.
We can accept data utilising the e-mail to jamie.awford@stephensandgeorge.co.uk. Please ensure that ALL your data is compressed whilst sending (WinZip or Stuffit format). No transmissions are accepted over 10Mb. If however, you require transmission over this file size -then please utilise the FTP system.
Workstations
Our network consists of top of the range Mac and Windows workstations. We also have 11 window servers, offering 10TB of data storage.
Application Software
We continue to utilise the very latest software from Adobe, Quark, Microsoft & Enfocus. Every single one of the 32,000 pages per month is run through our pre-flight software, enabling us to notify customers of any potential file problems.
