EUDR Update from Stephens & George Print Group
Today 26th November 2025 The European Parliament has voted to postpone EUDR implementation until 30th December 2026.
They have voted to exclude all printed products, such as newspapers and books, from its scope to simplify the process.
Another of the simplification measures for EUDR regulation is to shift the focus of reporting obligations to the operators that place the product on the market (in our case the PAPER MILLS). While downstream operators such as our paper merchants, ourselves and you our Customer, will no longer be obliged to submit Due Diligence Statements, requiring only one submission initially.
It is unclear at present as to whether the changes in the regulation will apply to paper, sourced and produced in Europe or whether different processes will apply to paper manufactured outside of Europe.
However, I can assure all of our customers that the paper we have supplied to us by our Merchants comes from Finland, Austria and Portugal.
As always, we will endeavour to keep our customers updated with any variation on this current information.
Yours sincerely
