Spread The Word Festival 2017

On Thursday 2nd March more than 1,000 children in Harry Potter-themed fancy dress gathered in Merthyr Tydfil town centre for a parade to celebrate our annual Spread the Word Festival on World Book Day.

Our festival is held every year and consists of a parade, numerous workshops, and talks from authors, illustrators and actors.

Charity Co-Ordinator Helen Hughes said, “this year we had a fantastic turnout from children aged from 2 years up to 15 years. Our annual Spread the Word Festival continue to grow every year.  We’re extremely grateful for everyone who helped bring the magic of books to life.”
